Deckman Leader / Deck Foreman
Job Description
The Deckman Leader / Deck Foreman oversees deck operations on marine vessels or offshore platforms, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with operational protocols. This role includes supervising deck crew and managing equipment for safe and effective operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate deck crew activities, including rigging, mooring, and cargo handling.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols during lifting, securing, and transfer operations.
- Operate and oversee deck machinery, including cranes and winches.
- Conduct inspections of deck equipment to ensure proper maintenance and functionality.
- Enforce adherence to company policies and maritime regulations.
- Maintain operational records, including equipment usage, maintenance logs, and safety reports.
Skill & Experience
- College-level or professional qualification in an appropriate discipline
- Recognized Rigging Certificate.
- Safety Supervisor Training certification.
- Valid offshore medical certification suitable for the geographical area of work.
- Valid BOSIET and H2S certifications.
